The World’s End
The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy. The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy. Whatever you call this series of films I am absolutely positive that we can all agree both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were amazing, and now the final part to this epic saga has been greenlit, The World’s End.
The basic overview of the film is this: Five childhood friends reunite after 20 or so years, with the aim of completing a barcrawl, presumably consisting of the 12 pubs listed on the promotional material that comes in the form of a poster, which Deadline released as a tie-in for Comic-Con.
The film is in pre-production as of writing, but filming is due to commence sometime during September or October, directed by Edgar Wright, and reuniting the comic duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. And with this trio,nothing can really go wrong, and the finale of the trilogy will be complete and released in 2013.
As a side note, I am anticipating this finale with more excitement than I am for Nolan’s Dark Knight finale later this week.
